In this theme we focus on security and privacy in networks, including especially wireless sensor networks.

The Distributed Networks team consists of Professors Stephen Huang (University of Houston), Farrukh Khan (Texas Southern University), Ernst Leiss (University of Houston), Wei W. Li (Texas Southern University), Rakesh Verma (University of Houston) and Shengli Yuan (Univeristy of Houston - Downtown).

We are working on creating the following modules in this theme.

  1. Mobile Privacy and Security
  2. Security and Protocols for Wireless Sensor Networks
  3. Timing and Implementation Issues for Wireless Sensor Networks
  4. Intrusion Detection

We organized the IEEE International Workshop on Security and Privacy for Mobile, Wireless and Sensor Networks (MWSN 2013) on June 24, 2013 in New Orleans [Workshop Videos]. MWSN was colocated with IEEE SECON 2013. We are currently adding content from the workshop on this site. We expect to have the videos and pictures from the workshop on this page soon. Meanwhile, here are some presentations from MWSN 2013.

  1. MWSN 2013 Workshop - Formal Analysis of Leap Presentation
  2. MWSN 2013 Workshop - Welcome and Introduction Presentation
  3. MWSN 2013 Workshop - Panel Introduction

Modules (Lectures/Slides): [Work in Progress]

  1. Mobile Privacy and Security
  2. Security and Protocols for Wireless Sensor Networks
  3. Timing and Implementation Issues for Wireless Sensor Networks
